Woman by Harriet Daimler (Traveller's Companion Series No 61 / 1965)

The Olympia Press was a French Publishing house established by Maurice Girodias, which specialised in the publication of pornography / erotica (often penned anonymously by writers who subsequently went on to achieve fame. However, in addition to these risqué works, Olympia Press also published numerous cutting-edge works by literary writers whose work was prohibited in their own countries, such as Samuel Beckett, William Burroughs, Vladimir Nabakov, Alexander Trocchi and J. P. Donleavy. It was able to do so by publishing the novels in the English language only, hence the 'Traveller's Companion' label.

This is an erotic novel written under the pseudonym of 'Harriet Daimler' by Iris Owen who was a writer and literary associate of Alenander Trocchi, Christopher Logue and others.

Softcover in very good condition with clean, unmarked pages, tight binding and very light wear only to cover and spine.
