Trail Sinister by Sefton Delmer (Secker & Warburg / 1961)

Volume 1 of Sefton Delmer's war memoirs. Denis Sefton Delmer was a British journalist who, during World War II, became a propagandist for the British government. Fluent in German, he interviewed Adolf Hitler in 1931 and during subsequent hostilities he led a black propaganda campaign against Hitler by radio from England which earned him a place in the Nazis' Black Book for immediate arrest after their planned invasion of Britain.
