Malleus Maleficarum by Jacobus Sprenger and Heinrich Kramer (Folio Society / 1968)

Translated as 'Hammer of Witches' and originally published in 1486, Malleus Maleficarum is the best known treatise on witchcraft and demonology.

First Folio Society edition hardback with marbled-print slipcase. Some wear to slipcase, particularly to top half of outside edge and to a lesser degree to top and bottom of inside edge. Similarly, some wear / sunning to spine of book which has resulted in some flaking off of gilt decoration. On the whole, however, the book remains in Good+ condition with clean, unmarked pages which are free from notes and underlining and no marking to front and back cover boards on which the cover decoration remains bright.
