Eric Gill: Man of Flesh and Spirit by Malcolm Yorke
Eric Gill: Man of Flesh and Spirit by Malcolm Yorke (Constable / Second Reprint 1984)
'If it is, indeed, possible, the need to separate the art from the man is particularly imperative when it comes it Eric Gill – especially when it comes to a book examining his erotic work. Undoubtedly Gill was a highly skilled and prolific artist (as can be seen from the work reproduced on these pages), but this book celebrating his life and work was penned before before the true extent of Gill's abuse and depravity was brought to light.
Softcover. Creasing to spine indicates that book has been read and some light thumb creasing to front cover but binding remains sound and overall this copy remains in VERY GOOD condition with clean, unmarked pages which are free from inscriptions and notes etc.
