This debut novel by concert pianist / novelist, Fred Mustard Smith, was subsequently made into a 1971 film of the same name. Wonderfully creepy cover artwork! This is the first paperback printing of the novel, from March 1970.

Paperback in good condition, but with some wear commensurate with age and having been read, including some creasing to spine and bottom, outside corner of front cover as well as general rubbing along exterior edges of front and back cover. Binding remains tight. Also, some mathematical work in biro to inside front cover.
