Sextet by J. Hume Parkinson (Olympia Press Traveller's Companion Series No 94 / 1965)

The Olympia Press was a French Publishing house established by Maurice Girodias, which specialised in the publication of pornography / erotica (often penned anonymously by writers who subsequently went on to achieve fame. However, in addition to these risqué works, Olympia Press also published numerous cutting-edge works by literary writers whose work was prohibited in their own countries, such as Samuel Beckett, William Burroughs, Vladimir Nabakov, Alexander Trocchi and J. P. Donleavy. It was able to do so by publishing the novels in the English language only, hence the 'Traveller's Companion' label.

Apparently, this sex romp set in Paris was last novel published by the Olympia Press in the Traveller's Companion Series. Not much, seemingly, is known about the identity of J. Hume Parkinson.

Softcover. Some light marking and creasing to spine spine but otherwise in very good condition.
