Long before its subject became elevated to the level of street art, Richard Freeman's Graffiti was one of the first serious studies wall writings in England down the ages, examining, amongst other things, inscriptions on Stonehenge and poems about or containing graffiti by poets such as Philip Larkin, Vernon Scannell, Adrian Mitchell, Edwin Brock, Pete Brown.
Hardback. Dustjacket has been price-clipped. Some rubbing to top and bottom edges of spine section of same as well as along parts of top and bottom edges, all of which have been repaired and strengthened by the application of tape. Light wear only to clothbound boards and spine and on the whole this book remains in VERY GOOD condition with clean, unmarked pages which are free from notes, underlinings or other inscriptions.
