A compelling account of growing up in a London slum in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Hardcover featuring tipped-in woodcut illustration by Paul Nash. Moderate wear to unclipped dustjacket commensurate with age, mostly in the form of rubbing along top and bottom edges and very minor tearing at top and bottom of spine. Name of original owner on opening endpaper but overall this book remains in very good condition with clean, unmarked pages and no marking to cover boards and spine.
