Framed by Mussolini's Fascist courts after his activities in the workers' movement in Turin, Gramsci was kept mostly in solitary confinement and died in prison. His letters are considered to be amongst the most important works of 20th Century Italian literature.
Softcover. Some very light creasing to spine indicating that book has been carefully read but otherwise in very good condition overall with clean, unmarked pages which are free from notes and underlining. Name of original owner on opening page. Not ex-library.
