American Musicians: Photographs by Lee Friedlander (Distributed Art Publishers Inc  / First edition, 1998) 

From the 1950s through to the 1970s, Lee Friedlander compiled an astounding collection of photographs of American musicians while working as the house photographer for Atlantic Records, and this book presents the collection in its entirity together with photographs from his travels in the Deep South. Musicians depicted include Aretha Franklin, Eartha Kitt, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane, Ornette Coleman and Sarah Vaughan amongst many others.

Hardback. There is a some foxing / speckling along top edge of text block (paper stock), caused by dust, but in spite of this we would still describe this book as remaining in very good condition with clean, unmarked pages which are free from notes and underlining and no other significant visible defects.
