The Call Girl by Harold Greenwald (Bestseller Library / 1960)

The lurid, pulp-style cover featuring a rather tired looking 'call girl' belied the fact that this book was actually a serious study of prostitution conducted by Harold Greenwald who, according to Wikipedia, was 'a noted psychotherapist who pioneered a variation on rational emotive behavior therapy, "direct decision therapy." He was an expert on the psychology of prostitution… and his dissertation on call girls became a best-selling book and movie.'

As one might expect, this is a relatively well-thumbed copy with significant creasing both to spine and join of spine and front cover as well as some creasing to top outside corner section of the front cover and less noticeable, the bottom outside corner of the same. Otherwise, clean, unmarked, lightly-tanned pages.
