Memories of Happy Days by Julian Green
Memories of Happy Days by Julian Green (Harper & Brothers / 1942)
As perhaps the title of his best known novel, 'Each Man in his Darkness' suggests, Julian Green (sometimes (Julien Green) was a wroter of sombre, psychological novels that were preoccupied with violence and death and which were as such reflective of his own inner turmoil. This, collection of autobiographical writings is his only book to have been written in English as opposed to French.'
